The selection seems impossible, boasting six rich soups and two fresh salads in the winter, with a wider salad selection and cold soups available during the summer months. Thursday “grilled cheese night” pairs gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches with the staple menu. Chocolate fondue and do-it-yourself s’mores add a sweet ending to the meal. A fine selection of homemade cookies and cakes is offered daily. Food Quality **** Souper Jenny masters what mom was not quite able to achieve. The aromatic selection of chunky soups infuse wholesome goodness down to your toes. Complement your hearty soup with a crisp salad or unique wrap. Food Presentation **** Nothing fancy here. Souper Jenny dishes up comfort food the way it should be: simple. Colorful ceramic bowls are filled to the brim with rich soups and stews. The salad greens are vibrant and fresh. Food this good doesn’t need embellishment. Atmosphere **** The warm, inviting atmosphere feels like grandma’s kitchen. The walls are covered with family photos and magazine clippings, and cozy tables dotted with tulip-filled vases are grouped family-style. Additional seating is available on a quaint patio, with 20 more tables becoming available in the 2006 expansion. Cleanliness **** Grandma liked to keep things spic-n-span, and so does Jenny. You’ll be amazed how quickly the tables are cleared off, making room for more delighted customers. Service **** Don’t let the long line scare you. The enthusiastic employees move with lightening speed and efficiency. Their upbeat attitude is both entertaining and refreshing. Menu Recommendations: Since the menu changes daily, you never know what to expect - other than great food. If you encounter either the turkey chili or white bean turkey sausage soup, I promise you won’t be disappointed. Fresh salads are always on the menu, and grilled cheese night makes ho-hum Thursdays feel like Saturday night!
