This video lounge serves up music videos on large flat screen televisions while diners nibble on tapas and gulp down fabulously mixed cocktails and varieties of wine and beer. Do not miss great dinner specials and fun movie nights and karaoke. Red Chair is not just another restaurant, it is a group-pleasing entertainment-plex that happens to serve competent food at reasonable prices. MENU *** There are plenty of choices from tapas to sandwiches to burgers or salads. The best part is they aim to please the pocket book as well—all menu items are priced below $10. So try a few and share! FOOD QUALITY *** Since the budget is first and foremost here, when matched to quality we have a balanced equation. The sauces are lacking in depth and some dishes seem rapidly arranged; however, there are meaty burgers and competent desserts. RECOMMENDATIONS: The best options on the menu include the fried green tomatoes (love the batter) topped with melted goat cheese. Also try the stuffed poblano pepper with pita points. Both are gooey and decadent, but simply devised. For a more protein filled selection, go for the orange glazed salmon or seared tuna encrusted with sesame seeds and topped with wasabi cream. Importantly, Red Chair is as much about food as it is drink: do order plenty of yummy martinis (plural). ATMOSPHERE **** This is a great place to meet for drinks and appetizers. The patronage seemed diverse and comfortable in this scenester-type atmosphere. Whether you want to enjoy fall weather on the patio or lose yourself in music video watching, Red Chair delivers entertainment and colorful mural-clad walls to keep up those winter spirits. CLEANLINESS *** For a spacious lounge the area is clean and bathrooms are fine to use. SERVICE *** Bar service is great and once the night is devoted entirely to cocktails this place knows how to handle the crowds. Restaurant service has improved with newer, more experienced servers. OVERALL RATING *** The menu makeover matches the overall feel to this video lounge. The price points are attractive and meet the expectations regarding food quality and quantity.
