A sushi and steak house concept, Prime serves a lively bar crowd most evenings. The sushi bar is a great place to plant yourself and meet all types of sushi connoisseurs. The restaurant is exquisitely beautiful, and the menu offers Prime aged beef and fresh seafood.

MENU: *****
The large selection of appetizers includes seafood, fresh beef, soup and salads. The steaks and chops list includes all of the classic beef choices. You can choose from several tempting seafood dishes or opt for a marinated, glazed and grilled steak. The list of side dishes is long and seductive. Desserts are made in house daily and are out of this world.

FOOD QUALITY: *****
Only Prime aged beef is used, as with all of the Tom Catherall restaurants. The seafood is flown in daily to ensure excellent quality and freshness. The wonderful use of homemade sauces and fresh herbs always perfectly compliment your entree.

FOOD PRESENTATION: *****
The chef’s artistic techniques are apparent, as each dish is perfectly plated and garnished. Each potato is strategically placed, and sauces appear in wavy patterns.

ATMOSPHERE: *****
The dark wood, large windows, white tablecloths and accents of cobalt blue are very masculine. The large half-circle booths are perfect for a romantic evening. Slick, clean lines dominate throughout. The bar is rather small but has a warm and cozy feel.

CLEANLINESS: *****
Top to bottom, front to back, this restaurant is spotless. The floors shine, the furniture is polished, and the tables are set beautifully.

SERVICE: *****
The hostess is friendly, helpful and timely. The service is superb – helpful and attentive but not overbearing.

MENU RECOMMENDATIONS:
The lobster bisque is terrific. Try the antipasto for two, which includes humus, roasted eggplant, marinated olives, Mortadella, fresh mozzarella, salami and Saga blue cheese. The iceberg wedge, spinach and arugula, and the traditional Caesar salads are all delicious. For an entrée, try the wood-grilled salmon filet with jalapeno jack grits and sweet chili spinach with basil oil, which is a wonderful combination of sweet and spicy. For meat lovers, the filet is cooked to perfection and delicately flavorful – The creamy mashed potatoes are an excellent accompaniment. Don’t miss the tortellini in chardonnay cream, which is also outstanding. To satisfy your sweet tooth, end with the key lime pie and creme brulee. Both are creamy and delicious.

OVERALL RATING: ****1/2
Prime rarely disappoints. There is always a lively feeling in the air, and the food is fantastic. If you enjoy sushi, stop by for happy hour and enjoy a little after-work oasis.
