Menu *****
Dishes are derived from South of France, Italy, Spain and Greece, so you will find a wide variety of European-Mediterranean offerings that are created from fresh, local ingredients.

Food Quality *****
Proprietor Doug Strickland is uncompromising in his quest for freshness. If peaches aren’t in season, you won’t see a cobbler on the menu. And if Doug can’t find fresh striped bass, expect to find it substituted. While you may be disappointed to find a favorite menu item missing or substituted, at Eno you are assured that what you are eating meets the highest standards.

Food Presentation ****
Respectably plated appetizers and entrees are visually appealing but it’s really more about taste and quality than anything else at Eno.

Atmosphere *****
Anyone yearning for a taste of Europe has only to travel as far as Peachtree and Fifth Streets in Midtown Atlanta for an authentic Mediterranean experience. Even from the sidewalk, Eno evokes a European open-air bistro quality with wrought iron café tables and brick patio. Inside, a comforting wine bar casually offers a long list of hand-picked wines by the glass, and even more by the bottle. For those seeking a more formal or romantic atmosphere, the inner sanctum at Eno is a quiet delight. Otherwise, window-side seating along the dining room’s perimeter offers a cheery yet refined experience. No matter where you sit, you are invited to languish and enjoy your meal in true European fashion.

Cleanliness *****
From the wide wooden planks that make up the floorboards to each and every table top, Eno has a comfortable antique feel that is uncompromised by its clean and orderly appearance.

Service *****
From the bartender to the host to our waiter, we were treated like royalty. And, every single employee appears qualified to be a wine consultant, able to answer even the most obtuse questions with aplomb.

Menu Recommendations:
Try the blue crab salad, mildly seasoned with tarragon, allowing the luscious crab meat to take center stage. The sage roasted quail appetizer is also wonderful, wrapped in pancetta with sliced navel orange, marsala wine and pomegranate. Eno’s salmon is an earthy dish, served with a lady pea ragout, morels and balsamic reduction. The chef’s talent for combining flavors is especially apparent in the duck entree. The rare, dark meat with seared edges comes with mushroom ravioli in a red, brothy sauce and a side of garlic spinach. The taste of rich duck meat with that garlicy spinach had my taste buds singing!

Overall Rating: *****
I love Eno because, for a fair price, I can get a meal with the guarantee of incredibly fresh, grade A ingredients. Their lofty ideals regarding wine and produce appeal to the snob in me while their prices appeal to the value-lover in me. And with its outdoor bistro seating, casual wine bar and intimate dining room, I can let my mood dictate the formality of my dining experience. Eno is ready to accommodate any of them, from open and airy to formal and fancy.
